Kathmandu Living Labs (KLL) and the University of California, Davis (UC-Davis) are jointly organizing a two-day engagement session on Youth Leadership, Open Mapping, and Sustainable Community Development at King's College on June 24 and 25, 2016. The main goal of these engagement sessions is to identify young leaders in our country and make them aware of the connection between youth leadership, open mapping, and sustainable community development; and about the synergistic effects that can be forged by combining these three. This is the first of many engagement sessions that we hope to develop into a full summer course that we are going to organize in the future.

The forthcoming summer course will include sessions on youth leadership, sustainable community development, power of youth, and OpenStreetMap hands-on session with project examples using free and open maps to articulate, visualize and even solve community problems.
