During last Friday's Mapping Party at Biruwa Ventures, new mapping enthusiasts learned to map real world objects onto OpenStreetMap. They learned the basics of mapping, went on the field to collect POIs, and uploaded collected data onto OpenStreetMap for the whole world to see. At the end of the session, participants were eager to know the use of data they had collected that day. How are these data useful to them - and to others?

In today's event, we answer these questions. We will demonstrate how these data are being used and what potential they hold. Together with last Friday's mapping enthusiasts, we will go out on the field and use some of the cool apps built around OpenStreetMap data. Together we will explore how data, such as those we collected last Friday, are useful to us and to the whole world.
